Early this month, some friends got married in a small out-of-state ceremony. Last night, they had a post-wedding party for the local contingent at a house on the cliffs over Golden Gardens. As nice as the view from the park is, it's way more spectacular from a few [?] hundred feet above sea level at sunset. Not to mention incredibly more pleasant in garden party style, food, drinks, and no drum circles around fire pits. Eventually the cool weather forced us to part with the view and huddle in small clusters around the outdoor fireplace for warmth.
After stocking up at Trader Joe's this (late) afternoon I had the best intentions for getting all sorts of work done. All of that initiative melted when I happened to notice that tonight was the last night of the WB's existence. They were playing the pilot episodes of [discontinued] classics from the old lineup and I found it difficult to not watch most of the nostalgia-fest.
Looking around the internet, I was really happy to find that someone put one of their best ads (from the 1999 season) online [youtube].
