case closed

My jury service ended this afternoon. The case was an inquest [metrokc], not a trial; so the deliberations weren't particularly controversial. After being relieved of our jury badges, I looked up the case on Nexis and found an article about it in the local news [seattletimes].

Although I'd felt cheated by my years of not being called to jury duty, I was sort of glad that the actual decision-making was non-dramatic by design. The case was long and intense enough as it was.


Whoa, that is a lot more interesting/violent that I was imagining, when you were talking about boring stuff like people going into buildings.
that was the crazy thing about the process --- the actual facts of the case were super-intense, but the questions that we were asked to answer were pretty mundane.
What an awful story.
