I've seen 3/5 of the film nominees

This just in: Hollywood foreign press loves depressed wine drinkers and eccentric/crazy captains of industry. Also, Jamie Foxx.

(Golden Globe nominees for 2005 [hfpa])

I don't really think that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a musical or a comedy, and I realize that awards are pretty meaningless (the awards show where the stars pretend to be drunk!), yet still I hope it wins.

I hear that, much moreso than the Oscars or the Emmys, that the Golden Globes are completely rigged and that winning is heavily dependent on who the nominee knows and, frankly, how much they're willing to pay to win. Those could just be rumors, but it's what I heard.
I think that the GGs predicted most of the major Oscar winners last year, but it does seem like the whole awards process is a complicated buy off. With the Oscars being awarded earlier in the year, the Golden Globes are likely to be less important, which might be a good thing?
I really liked Eternal Sunshine, too, but I haven't seen any of the other nominees in that category. I really just want to see Closer this weekend!

in the comedy/musical category ...

The Incredibles is pretty good, too.
