this is another way to avoid thinking

Last night, I didn't sleep very much. Random insomnia. I didn't fall asleep until well after 2 and woke up a couple of hours before my 8 o' clock class. So that's always fun. It seems like daylight savings time should be coming soon.

Feeling inspired by the state of my wakefulness after two classes, I headed downtown to do some work. I would like to be done with this paper sooner than later.

At this point, most of the caffeine has worn off and I've been mostly staring out the window for the past hour or so. The sky is blue. It is nice to look at. Every once in a while, I type something into the computer, write something on my yellow legal pad, or read from the stack of articles. Sometimes I use the highlighter.

I think it's time to give up and head home.

Hey! Here's something I've been doing lately that works if you have blinds: point them so they point toward the ceiling. Light of the moon and sun then does not shine on you and makes you sleep more.
If you don't have blinds, I don't know what to tell ya'.

No blinds ... just curtains. But I don't think it was entirely a light thing.
