Standing outside my office building yesterday on the southbound entrance to I-5 was a twentysomething guy holding a small cardboard sign that read "Oregon." Next to him was a backpack, a few things, and medium/large black sporty dog. I wished that I had my camera with me to capture the impossible scene. Maybe someone picked him up, since he wasn't there today. I really miss having a window, I could've watched all day from my old office.

Today was mostly meeting of various sizes & purposes. A few were about my pilot study and current analysis project, others were more of the smile & nod variety. The final meeting was really a meetup. The highlight was the Lindeman's Framboise & finally getting a now classic "No Iraq War" button, the lowlight was listening to everyone talk about caucuses for too long. You'd think that years in various student governments and boards would've made me immune to it. Maybe the problem is that the Virginia Inn was kind of loud, which made it difficult to talk and listen. But the people there were very enthusiastic and had good things to say.

I've been really bad about eating at weird times. Now I'm doing laundry and reading the Stranger and watching Law & Order. I realized that about half of my Stranger is missing. It felt a little thin when I picked it up and I know that I could read it online, but it really isn't the same.

It should feel like Tuesday, but to me it seems like Thursday.

I just left a comment and then realized it was for a February 2003 entry! Haha. I googled "Borseno's" and you popped up. I work there so I was just putzing around with it to see what I could come up with. Hi! :)
Hi!

I haven't been to Borseno's in a while -- I moved out of the U-District and Majel moved to Chicago -- but I'm glad to hear that my livejournal might help to bring in business!

<3 the virgina inn. not so much in the evening though.
the Virginia Inn is great -- just not a good place to have fifteen people crowded in the corner talking about why they like a presidential candidate and strategizing for caucuses.

It's in such a nice little stretch of 1st. Those old narrow charming places with tile floors and nice wooden bars. I'm mostly thinking of Le Pichét, but I'm sure there are others.

what is "sporty" dog?
... one that belongs to the AKC's

... one that belongs to the AKC's <a href-"http://www.akc.org/breeds/recbreeds/sport.cfm" title="Ameriican Kennel Club">Sporting Group</a>, though I'd imagine that the usage is non-standard.

I doubt that the dog was a purebred. Maybe it was a working-sporting hybrid.

(It was wearing a bandana around its neck, which was also kind of sporty.)
