A week ago, the New York Times Magazine's cover story, Jennifer Egan's "Love in the Time of No Time," described the Romance 2.0 Era. Evidently, the new phenomenon of online dating had taken the country by storm.

It looks like those crazy days are over. Yesterday, the cover of the Style section revealed that singles are now "Just Say[ing] No to the Dating Industry."

So much for that fad. At least it had its week in the sun before the inevitable backlash.

a week? that's about 100 in fad-years. flash mobs lasted all of 30 minutes.
