On the way to the bus, I notice dramatic shifts in temperature based on whether I'm in the sun or shade. It is like my own private Mercury.
I notice some other things while walking: A dog riding in a pickup truck doesn't put his head out the window because it would be too cold -- for both dog and driver. A woman is walking with a paperback book directly in front of her eyes to keep the sun away. A guy makes it across the street in front of an oncoming bus without really hurrying. The wind makes a mess of my hair. My bus pulling away, but another one is coming.
On the bus: A visually-impaired man is completely flipping out.
Now: the sky is still blue. My fingers are cold. I have no attention span.
