all that stuff I didn't get / comes so easy to him

What we learned at the Grandaddy show. The live show is great. By this, I mean that they sounded pretty much like they do on the albums, which implies that they aren't over-produced. They played to an amazingly full house of head bobbing, occasional hipster dancing, and random jumping up and down.

On top of the quality musical performance, all of their songs were accompanied with lovely visual entertainments. We were actually standing in the vicinity of the visual engineer, which I suppose isn't particularly interesting. From the visuals, we also can infer that Grandaddy are very interested in cats and Minnesota winter. One video included numerous (humorous) scenes of an orange cat fighting with various dogs.
Another showed a backwards relationship. It was rather lovely.

On top of all of this, and having a cat statue onstage, they played the wonderful song from 28 days later, which made me feel all sorts of bouncy.
