i am not a stuffed tiger.

open letter

dear standard time,

I'm afraid you won't be missed. I mean, you're nice and all, but Daylight Saving Time saves money and lives. A tough act to beat. On top of that, it makes it easier for me to sleep past 7 am.

Don't get me wrong. Standardized time in general is a a pretty good thing. What do you think of Ecuador's attempt to change it's cultural perception of time [see "Punctuality Pays"] to eliminate lateness? Switching from event time to clock time is an interesting proposition, isn't it?

Until October,
