I read the googlemania story from the March issue of Wired on the bus tonight and the "Surviving the IPO" story left me feeling strangely sad/nostalgic. I guess it's a reflection of the brand loyalty that Google has built that I want it to stay a neat non-evil private company forever.

Of course, I have nothing against people who getting rich. It's just that the corporate drudgery involved with being a public corporation sounds deeply depressing.
