I went to work a little earlier than usual to finish writing a summary of this new project that I'm working on. It's a pilot study of the effect of our data collection procedures on mRNA quality. But before we got to that meeting, there was another one which involved taking a picture of all of the people who work on the study. Of course, we went outside and during the course of taking the photos, it was cloudy, rainy, and sunny. God I love the weather.

The windowless office is probably going to make me kill myself. I think that I'll have to start working elsewhere more often. Luckily, Bauhaus is really close to our building.

Back at home, I watched the scoreless part of the Red Sox--Yankees game. I really only like to watch sports during playoffs or tournaments. It requires so much less attention and commitment.

Before the game ended, I went to the HUB for a graduate student social (talking to Jenna along the way). I met Rachel and Kate there and we circulated and tried to be social. We somewhat successful--I think we talked to people from several other departments. In my unscientific survey, people from the Evans school were the most social and consumed the most wine.

After the event ended, we (along with another guy from the social) stopped at Shultzy's to catch the end of the game where I had to instruct our waitress on the proper way to prepare a half-iced tea half-lemonade.

When I got back home, it was time to go to Dick's for a shake and watch Law & Order with everyone around the house.

My class was just cancelled, so I guess I can sleep in.
