Pictures from Spring Break driving adventures are now posted for your viewing pleasure.

Starting on Thursday, we drove from Seattle to Ashland, Oregon: home of aging hippies and perpetual Shakespeare. The pictures don't capture the hippie population or "Daughters of the Revolution", the three-hour political play that we saw there. The play was ambitious and well produced, but sort of horrible. I think that with significant editing it could be good.

On Friday, we drove to wine country. On the way, it looked like Mt. Shasta was being invaded by an alien mother ship. Not pictured: a small group of protestors in Sonoma, a row of old and new roadster type vehicles in front of a swiss hotel

On Saturday, we went to another winery, drove for a few hundred miles of the Pacific Coast Highway, and visited a drive-thru tree. Not pictured: whales sited while eating lunch on the patio, the special prayer/ode to the giant redwood, our drugged-out waiter at a small-town Mexican restaurant.

Sunday: mostly all driving, a walk through the Lady Bird Johnson grove of the Redwoods National Park (Forest?). Not pictured: all fast-food dining, never-ending searches for radio stations.

Overall: a good trip with a lot of scenic driving, soundtrack provided by a duel between my iPod and Rachel's CD collection. Special thanks to This American Life courtesy of audible.com for providing compromise audio.
