the only earth?

and I'm back

I'm back from the Crocodile with aching ears. For standing in the front rows just a little behind the assorted ass-shakers along with the fellow head-bobbers, I might not hear well when I'm old. I think it's a fair trade-off.

All three of the bands were highly entertaining and talented. The Long Winters has a CD coming out in 9 days from Barsuk that's probably worth a listen for anyone reading this. Beulah seemed to have a lot of fun onstage, pulling guest tambourine players from the audience and tossing fruit into the audience during a break.

I thought I'd write about people who feel they're entitled to push in front of others to convulse wildly without respect for personal space, but I just can't get myself fired-up enough to rant. This is the downside of having a good time and meeting pleasant people: not as much anger to vent.

Another topic that will not be explored in further depth is the entertaining style of dancing that takes place at indie rock shows. Maybe later ... this is an entertaining topic on its own.

the only earth?

a funny line from the Simpsons

Springfield's version of Sex and the City:
Nookie in New York : four single women who act like gay men.

Another funny thing: there's a new movie about Josh Hartnett trying to go without sex for 40 days. Who are the ad wizards that came up with this winner of a plot?
