More people buy into the early morning skipping and we go to the beach for the first couple of hours of the conference. We attend the bulk of the mid-morning sessions, skip a couple of afternoon sessions for quality beach time, and are drawn back to the evening presentations by the lure of free food.

After hanging out at our hotel pool, we go back to Lincoln and walk around to find some food. We settle for Balans, where I eat a sweet potato souffle. The conversation is somewhat strange: topics about death-care options, bathrooms of the world, and children (though each is separate). Our waiter recommended a club/gave us discount cards. So we go there and watch the crowd sorting, but don't really try to get in. None of the members of our group were even dressed in clothing to be mildly competitive with all of the skanky underagers who easily make their way to the front.
