Today was windy and that made for an angry sea. I opted to watch from the deck and not brave the beach. Aaron and I tried to make my AirPort base station share a dial-up connection, but EarthLink didn't feel like cooperating. I'm pretty sure it's their fault though.
After the rest of the crew gave up on the beach, we played one of Rhiannon's Cheapass Games called "Kill Dr. Lucky." The layout looks like Clue, but the point is to go around trying to kill someone - Dr. Lucky - surprising, no? In my best attempt of the game, I tried to kill him in the wine cellar with a trowel, but my plot was foiled by my opponents' failure cards. Because I was trying to get Rhiannon and Matt to contribute to the failure effort, Jennifer won. All my fault.
Cindy and Brad arrived this afternoon. After they got settled, we went out to dinner to the Black Pelican, site of
the telegram sent by the Wright Brothers after their first flight. I think there must be many special Wright
Brothers related historical sites in the vicinity of our house.
After dinner we went to a couple of bars. Bbeing the offseason and a Monday, they were not exactly teeming with
fellow partiers. Instead, we returned home early and played games and drank previously purchased beverages.
