what a stupid afternoon.

I went out to get a bagel for lunch and to mailed my dad some things to go with my laptop since he managed to have it fixed. I guess the Best Buy in Kalamazoo was more cooperative than the one here.

I don't know why, but a trip to the post office makes the day feel productive. The whole mail system amazes me. They had some advertisements that I found really funny. Too bad I can't find a picture of them online.

After that, I returned a $4 pin to the bookstore and some $14 pants to a used clothing store. I felt incredibly stupid, but I didn't really want them. I tried to sell the store credit to the person behind me in line, but the cashier didn't approve & the guy didn't have any cash.

On the way home, I was hoping to find an apartment with a sign saying, "hi josh, please live here." but I was not so lucky.

Josh: Why did you have a $4 pin from a bookstore????

I also felt how you feel about the USPS - I am amazed at how things get to where they are going. Then last week Marlo realized that her car payment was lost in the mail - she was pissed and called to complain, but they were like "what do you want us to do about it?" and then I got a card I sent my brother returned to me - even though it's the right address.

Good luck w/that apartment search!
I was going for a prep school look and thought the blue blazer needed a lapel pin. Unfortunately, I didn't have my own NHS pin available. The only thing I could find was a "Seattle" souvenir pin. I thought I might modify it as a last resort, but when I didn't have time to do anything with it, decided nothing would be better.
