cutest robot of all time

On the latest day of the year, we sat on a patio in SLU and had pizza and sorbet and then saw a gorgeous movie. Then drinks around town. A nice day.

If something can be said to be wrong with WALL•E, it is that the last half, once it decides to remember that it is also movie for kids, just can't live up to the near-perfect melancholy romance of the first nearly wordless poetry of the stunning opening thirty minutes. Holding its initial greatness against its eventual goodness isn't fair though: It's still very good.

AND! the "voice" of WALL•E is the same person who was the voice of R2-D2.
